Texas Cake contest

The story of the cake: I tried to represent the change in my careers. It all began with my mechanical engineering career, I graduated in 2004 and married my hubby in 2006. I moved to the U.S in 2006 (I’m from Venezuela) and slowly during these past 7 years I developed a huge love for cake decorating and baking even when I did it before graduating as an engineer.  In 2009 I started offering to friends and neighbors.  Now we are closer than ever to open our cake/cupcake shop. The cake shows how I changed from one career to the other.  The faces represent my sides... the artist I didn't know I had, the pink engineer and then me, all brains together under the hat! the gears falling showing how I left those engineering years behind and became a cake girl ;-)
